Software Engineer – Full‑stack (React & Go)

About the role

UpGuard is building a Cyber Risk Posture Management platform that combines security ratings, threat intel and agentic AI. As a Software Engineer you will join a Product Engineering squad and work across the full stack, delivering customer‑facing features in React/TypeScript and high‑scale Go services that process security data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship front‑end features using React and TypeScript.
• Build, maintain and scale Go micro‑services backed by PostgreSQL on Kubernetes in Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with senior engineers for code reviews, design discussions and end‑to‑end ownership of scoped work.
• Contribute to platform reliability and performance as traffic grows.
• Explore and automate workflows with generative AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Experience with a backend language (Go preferred) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Curiosity about cybersecurity and willingness to learn the domain.
• Ability to make pragmatic trade‑offs between technical quality and business needs.
