Software Engineer – Drone & Edge Systems

About the role
SPARC AI is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software that powers intelligent drone and edge device applications. You will work across the full stack, from backend services and APIs to data pipelines and the software running directly on drones.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that support the SPARC AI platform.
- Build and optimise data pipelines for real‑time processing.
- Implement robust, scalable software components for drones and edge devices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact features.
Required profile
- Strong foundation in computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Proven experience building scalable and reliable software systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a commitment to clean, maintainable code.
- Effective collaboration skills in a remote‑first environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
