Software Engineer, Data – Trading (Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer, Data to join a high‑performing team that builds the data infrastructure supporting research, trading and core business operations. Based in Sydney with a hybrid schedule (three days on‑site), you will work on large‑scale, real‑time data pipelines that power critical decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain real‑time pipelines processing billions of events daily.
• Build internal tools and frameworks that enable research, analytics and trading teams.
• Implement automated processes to improve data quality, accuracy and completeness.
• Create data models and schemas that simplify access to complex information.
• Orchestrate workflow scheduling for pipelines, research jobs and their dependencies.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with research, trading, engineering and operations teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong production‑grade coding skills in Python, Go or C++.
• Experience with relational and time‑series databases.
• Comfortable building and deploying applications in Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols.
• Pragmatic, outcome‑focused mindset with a passion for solving real user problems.
