Software Engineer – Cloud, IoT & Cybersecurity

About the role

Beeinfosec Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join its technical team in Brighton‑Le Sands, NSW. You will design, develop and maintain secure, scalable solutions across cloud, IoT, embedded and cybersecurity platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into secure, scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain applications and systems for cloud, IoT, embedded and cybersecurity environments.
• Build and enhance APIs, micro‑services, firmware, automation tools and system‑integration components.
• Create and manage DevSecOps pipelines using CI/CD, IaC, automated testing and secure deployment controls.
• Integrate security controls such as encryption, authentication and risk mitigation throughout the software lifecycle.
• Develop and support vulnerability assessment tools, monitoring systems and threat‑detection capabilities.
• Implement CI/CD processes, automated testing and deployment workflows to ensure reliable delivery.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, system designs and user guides.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Minimum 2 years' experience designing secure cloud‑native, IoT, embedded and cybersecurity software architectures.
• At least 2 years' experience developing APIs, micro‑services, firmware and automation tools.
• Experience building DevSecOps pipelines with CI/CD, IaC and automated testing.
• Proven ability to implement web‑service integrations using SOAP, REST, JMS and adapters such as JDBC, FILE, FTP and AQ.
• Experience creating custom reports with Oracle Reports 10g, BI Publisher, XML Publisher, Oracle Analytics Cloud and PL/SQL.
