Software Engineer – AWS Infrastructure Services

About the role

Join the AWS Infrastructure Services team and help keep the global cloud running. You will work with a diverse group of engineers, supply‑chain specialists and security experts to design, build and operate hyper‑scale services that power millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and continuously improve software components.
• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Write high‑quality distributed‑system code and conduct peer code‑reviews.
• Develop and maintain key system features while driving engineering best practices.
• Provide technical direction, establish architectural principles and mentor team members.
• Create and review software design documentation and knowledge‑transfer material.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with ability to work on complex, large‑scale systems.
• Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
