Software Engineer – Algorithms (C++, Python, ROS2)

About the role
Join a cutting‑edge robotics software company developing autonomy and perception systems for harsh maritime environments. You will write production‑grade code that runs on operational vessels, not just in simulations.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop robotics software using C++, Python, and ROS2.
- Create algorithms for navigation, path planning, guidance, or control.
- Develop and validate algorithms in simulation before real‑world deployment.
- Troubleshoot across the full stack, from software and algorithms to hardware integration.
Required profile
- Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility for Baseline security clearance.
- Strong software engineering skills in C++ and Python.
- Experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware.
- Proficiency with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
