Software Development Engineer – AWS Infrastructure

About the role

Join AWS Infrastructure Services to design, develop, and operate software that runs at Amazon’s network scale. You will work on distributed services that emulate, deploy, and validate configuration changes across global routers, ensuring safety and reliability for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Adopt and champion software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Write high‑quality, scalable code that automates network device configuration, deployment, and validation.
• Collaborate with network engineers, security experts, and operations managers to collect requirements and influence Amazon’s network architecture.
• Ensure safety of network changes at "Amazon scale" by building robust validation and monitoring tools.
• Communicate technical solutions to users, senior engineers, and management.
