Software Developer - .NET / C# / SQL Server

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in warehouse automation and logistics systems, is hiring a Software Developer in Belrose to join its Global Product and Solutions team. You will develop high-quality software for large-scale warehouse automation projects, working with a team of engineers and seeing your solutions operate in real time, including during client site commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and test software solutions for logistics-related tasks
• Optimise code and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Integrate software systems and hardware devices into a cohesive logistics platform
• Design and optimise database schemas and queries
• Run unit and integration tests and debug software issues
• Work with cross-functional teams and write technical documentation
• Assist with data visualisations and dashboards, and provide ongoing support and maintenance

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional software development experience
• Honours graduates with project experience in C#.NET and SQL are considered
• Australian work rights: PR or citizenship
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across the Asia-Pacific region during commissioning (up to 2 months at a time)

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in a programming language such as C#
• Database systems (SQL)
• Version control (e.g. Mercurial, SVN)
• Understanding of software development best practices
• Desirable: mobile development (iOS or Android), real-time data processing, IoT systems, data visualisation tools, AI and data analytics
