Social Worker - Acute, Sub Acute and Outpatients

About the role

Goulburn Valley Health is recruiting a Social Worker for its Social Work Department in Shepparton. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across acute units (Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Maternity, Critical Care, Paediatrics, Emergency) and outpatient clinics (Renal, Ante Natal), and may also work in the Mary Coram Rehabilitation Unit. The role provides practical and emotional support to patients and their families facing changes in health and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Approved tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Demonstrated skills in assessment and intervention for patients with diverse and complex psychosocial circumstances
• Ability to work independently and as an active member of an interdisciplinary team
• Time management and organisational skills for managing a clinical caseload and non-clinical responsibilities
• Experience in a healthcare setting
