Social Media Manager

About the role

Born Social is a social‑first creative marketing agency with studios in Port Melbourne and Brooklyn, NYC. We are seeking a Social Media Manager to join our Melbourne team on a hybrid basis, managing a portfolio of 5‑8 clients and driving strategy, content and community across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead social strategy aligned with each client’s business goals.
• Plan, coordinate and schedule content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Write captions, scripts and copy that reflect distinct brand voices.
• Plan and attend content shoots, brief creative teams and direct community management.
• Manage influencer and user‑generated content campaigns from concept to execution.
• Conduct regular work‑in‑progress meetings and keep clients informed.
• Perform light video and graphic editing.
• Produce monthly performance reports and optimise campaigns.

Required profile

• 5+ years of social media management experience.
• Degree in marketing, communications or media.
• Excellent copywriting ability with flexibility across brand voices.
• Deep understanding of social performance drivers.
• Proven experience developing and presenting social strategies.
• Strong client communication, proactive attitude and calm under pressure.
• Highly organised with the capacity to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable car for shoots and meetings.
