About the role
The Training Development Support and Compliance (TDSC) Directorate is seeking a permanent full‑time Skills Recognition Officer to design and manage skills recognition processes for staff and volunteers within the DFES Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This role supports training, assessment, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain skills recognition procedures for employees and volunteers.
- Provide training and assessment support services aligned with RTO standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with governance, reporting and accessibility requirements for DFES training.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Ability to provide a current National Police Certificate (issued within the last three months) prior to commencement.
- Experience in training development, compliance or related public‑sector environments is desirable.
