Site Manager – Recycling Operations

About the role

Visy is seeking a Site Manager to lead its Smithfield Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in NSW. Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will be accountable for safety, people, financial performance and operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site safety and ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Deliver EBITDA targets through cost control, productivity and plant performance.
• Drive operational excellence across throughput, yield and quality.
• Build and lead a high‑performing team, developing capability and accountability.
• Optimise labour, maintenance and contractor performance.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement and capital initiatives.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver strong customer outcomes.
• Use data and insights to improve operational performance and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, recycling or heavy industry.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing site performance and costs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive operational outcomes.
• Experience driving safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, complex operational environment.
