Shopify Developer – Melbourne

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Shopify Developer to join our Melbourne team and build high‑performing e‑commerce experiences for retail and apparel brands. You will work closely with product, design and operations to deliver custom Shopify and Shopify Plus solutions that drive sales and improve customer journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise Shopify and Shopify Plus stores using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SASS and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Integrate Shopify Admin API, Storefront API and Webhooks with third‑party systems such as ERP, POS and marketing platforms.
• Implement headless commerce patterns with frameworks like Hydrogen or Next.js where required.
• Customize checkout experiences using Shopify Functions and Checkout UI Extensions.
• Ensure responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility and adherence to Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborate in an agile environment, manage code with Git and participate in code reviews and debugging sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Shopify (or Shopify Plus) development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid templating, HTML5, CSS3/SASS and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API and Webhooks.
• Understanding of retail e‑commerce operations, product catalogs, inventory sync and order management.
• Proven ability to integrate third‑party apps and platforms (e.g., ERP, POS, email marketing).
• Solid grasp of responsive design, cross‑browser testing and performance optimisation.
• Comfortable using Git, version control and agile development workflows.
