Shop Assistant – Fresh Food Retail

About the role

Join Harris Farm Markets as a Shop Assistant in Potts Point, supporting a vibrant fresh‑food store that values quality, community and sustainability. You will help customers find what they need, keep the shop looking fresh and abundant, and contribute to a friendly, high‑energy team.

Key responsibilities

• Fill and rotate stock to maintain full, fresh, and appealing displays.
• Keep the back‑of‑house organised, clean and well‑managed.
• Monitor stock quality, dates and rotation using FIFO principles.
• Maintain accurate shelf management for customer convenience.
• Provide helpful, on‑the‑floor customer service.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Support daily store operations and teamwork.

Required profile

• Loves fresh food and enjoys helping customers.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Physically capable of manual handling and standing for long periods.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible availability across a 7‑day roster, including AM and PM shifts.
