Ships Agency Operator – Port Hedland

About the role

Join Wilhelmsen Port Services (Australia) Pty Ltd as a Ships Agency Operator in Port Hedland, the world’s largest bulk export port. You will coordinate vessel operations, manage high‑volume email communications, and interact with international crews and stakeholders in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel arrivals, berthing, loading and departures in collaboration with all port stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate operational data across multiple systems (SEDNA, Excel, Teams, WASP, ESS, ICS, MARS, Klein, Logistics Connect).
• Handle a high volume of emails and perform administrative tasks in an open‑office setting.
• Board vessels to support operations, including transfers by boat and navigating steep gangways.
• Interact professionally with multicultural crews and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
• Manage confidential information and report incidents promptly.
• Work on a rotating shift roster to meet operational demands.

• Comfortable with heights and willing to board vessels as part of daily duties.
• Strong cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership and accountability for tasks and team outcomes.
