Shift Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead our Production Operations Team at Orrcon Steel Manufacturing in O'Sullivans Beach. In this hands‑on role you will coach and empower operators across multiple manufacturing areas, maintaining a high‑visibility presence on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and oversight to ensure smooth mill operations.
• Lead, coach and develop Production Operators, modelling best practice.
• Collaborate with Planning, Maintenance, Despatch and other operational teams to guarantee safe, efficient and on‑time product delivery.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement.
• Work a rotating shift pattern (one week day shift, one week afternoon shift) with a monthly rostered day off.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a physical, mechanical or technical manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety culture and quality excellence.
• Ability to build high‑performing teams and foster continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.
