Shift Leader / Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

El Jannah is seeking confident and motivated Shift Leaders or Assistant Restaurant Managers to run smooth shifts and lead enthusiastic teams. You will be the steady presence on the floor, ensuring every guest enjoys a positive experience while upholding high standards of service, food quality, safety, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team during service, embodying the "EJ Way" and supporting staff throughout the shift.
• Maintain daily operations efficiently, including stock management and kitchen flow.
• Coach and train team members to build confidence and capability.
• Deliver consistent, guest‑focused experiences and handle any issues promptly.
• Assist with rostering, shift organization, and performance tracking against restaurant KPIs.
• Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and WHS standards at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in a quick‑service or fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Calm, confident leadership style that inspires and energises staff.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑first mindset.
• Genuine passion for food, people, and guest experience.
• Reliability, organisational ability, and willingness to lead by example.
• Flexible availability for evenings and weekends.
