Service Team Manager - HVAC & Chillers

About the role

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead the Brisbane Chiller Services team at Johnson Controls. You will oversee day‑to‑day service delivery, manage a team of technicians and apprentices, and drive operational excellence across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire a high‑performing service team to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Manage service delivery performance, maintenance schedules, contract execution and budget outcomes.
• Oversee backlog management, estimating activities, contract renewals and onboarding processes.
• Partner directly with customers, attend site visits and ensure exceptional service delivery and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience within the HVAC, refrigeration or chiller industry.
• Strong commercial acumen, planning and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining safety, quality and customer focus.

Required skills

• Technical understanding of chiller systems.
• Experience with controls systems (highly regarded).
• Workforce planning, technician utilisation and labour forecasting.
