Service Desk Support Officer – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is looking for a customer‑focused Service Desk Support Officer to join its Hobart team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working within an ITIL Service Management framework, you will be the first point of contact for end‑users, delivering prompt and professional IT support while contributing to continuous service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for incidents and service requests via phone, ServiceNow and walk‑up interactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues efficiently, escalating complex cases when necessary.
• Maintain accurate ticket records, ensuring adherence to agreed service level targets.
• Support ongoing End User Computing projects and technology refresh initiatives.
• Monitor service desk queues, prioritising work and contributing to process enhancement activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Service Desk or IT support role.
• Hands‑on experience working within an ITIL Service Management framework.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in a team.
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Valid Vulnerable People/Working with Children Check and Police Check.
