Service Advisor - Audi, Mercedes, Skoda, VW

About the role

An independent automotive service provider, established for over 60 years and specialising in late-model Audi, Mercedes, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles, is hiring a Service Advisor in Melrose Park. The role starts as an assistant service advisor and reports directly to the Service Manager, with daily contact with senior service advisors and trainers. It aims to deliver excellent customer service while supporting the business's operational profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Explain technical and complex repair scenarios to clients clearly
• Meet and greet clients and make sure their needs and concerns are understood
• Coordinate appointments and technician workloads so vehicles leave on time
• Compile accurate invoices, maintain client and stock records and respond to enquiries within 24 hours
• Liaise with clients on preliminary fault diagnosis and agreed completion times, and get costs approved before work begins

Required profile

• Certificate III in automotive or an associated industry
• 2 years' experience as a technician or as a service advisor
• Confident, friendly manner and well-presented appearance
• Passion for cars and a genuine desire to provide customer service

Required skills

• Good technical knowledge of German vehicles
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team while remaining self-motivated
• Computer competency for client records and familiarity with spare parts operating systems

• $80,000 per year plus superannuation and a negotiable quarterly or monthly bonus
