SEO Specialist – Own Strategy & Execution

About the role

You will own the SEO strategy and execution for a portfolio of Australian client accounts. This is a hands‑on position where you decide what needs to happen, implement the work, and clearly explain results to non‑technical clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough technical SEO audits (crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, page speed, schema, canonicals, etc.).
• Prioritise and resolve technical issues in collaboration with web developers.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 data, reacting to algorithm updates and traffic changes.
• Develop keyword strategies, create detailed content briefs, and optimise on‑page elements for relevance and E‑E‑A‑T.
• Audit title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, and identify content gaps.
• Assess backlink profiles with SEMrush or Ahrefs, build quality link‑acquisition plans, and track domain authority trends.
• Serve as the primary SEO contact for clients, delivering plain‑language monthly reports and running strategy sessions.
• Collaborate with the Google Ads team to align keyword architecture and avoid cannibalisation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of dedicated SEO experience managing multiple client accounts.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge, able to diagnose crawl budget or Core Web Vitals issues independently.
• Excellent written communication skills for explaining complex SEO concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with WordPress at a level sufficient to implement on‑page changes.
