Senior Technical Onboarding & Engagement Manager

About the role

Algolia’s Engagement Management Practice helps customers adopt the platform and realize value. As a Senior Technical Onboarding & Engagement Manager you will own complex, strategic onboarding programs from pre‑sales handoff through production launch and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives and Solution Engineers to validate scope, objectives, success criteria and delivery risks.
• Define AI Search requirements and detailed project plans with Professional Services.
• Lead a portfolio of strategic onboarding programs, establishing delivery strategy, governance, milestones, dependencies and contingencies.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Consultants, Engineering and external partners to translate business and technical requirements into actionable plans.
• Communicate project health, dependencies and trade‑offs to customer leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Anticipate and mitigate delivery risks, manage escalations and drive alignment.
• Apply deep knowledge of Algolia architecture, AI Search, data, APIs and integration patterns to advise on technical trade‑offs.
• Drive post‑launch transitions and identify opportunities for additional Professional Services support.
• Improve onboarding at scale by identifying operational gaps, strengthening methodologies, tooling and playbooks, and mentoring peers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years leading technical projects or customer‑facing software implementations.
• Proven ability to lead complex implementations, manage governance, risk, resources and executive communication.
• Strong technical understanding of software implementation lifecycles, search, data, APIs, integrations and AI technologies.
• Demonstrated autonomy in ambiguous environments and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Track record of creating reusable frameworks, operational improvements and mentoring peers.
