Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Penrith office, delivering tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of trusts, companies, SMSFs, partnerships and individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for trusts, companies, SMSFs, partnerships and individuals.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, payroll tax and annual GST returns.
• Provide tax planning and business advisory services, including asset protection strategies.
• Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on client tax returns, payment plans and other obligations.
• Meet workflow commitments and income tax lodgement deadlines.
• Manage a client portfolio, ensuring timely communication and on‑time lodgements.
• Report directly to the Partner and mentor junior staff members.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in public practice.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
• High attention to detail and self‑motivation.
• Ability to work with multi‑entity and large organisations.
