Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead executive and senior recruitment across Qantas’ corporate portfolio on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis at our Mascot Campus. The role combines hands‑on delivery with strategic talent advisory, partnering with senior leaders and HR to shape hiring outcomes for critical roles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for executive and senior positions across corporate functions such as Sales, Distribution, Customer, Legal, Safety and more.
• Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies and build proactive talent pipelines.
• Provide market insights and strategic talent advice to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure a seamless, high‑quality candidate experience aligned with the Qantas brand.
• Coach and upskill the Talent Acquisition team, driving best‑practice recruitment and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in talent acquisition for executive and senior roles within corporate environments.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem‑solving, judgment and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of advising senior leaders.
• Proven track record in talent pooling, headhunting and networking across relevant markets.

Required skills

• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems; SmartRecruiters is a plus.
