Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

The LAND 6504 Level 4 Senior Systems Engineer will lead the engineering effort for the LAND 6504 capability, establishing and maintaining the project engineering baseline to support early access funding, acquisition planning and Combined Pass approval activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage an integrated engineering team of APS staff and contractors.
• Establish and maintain the LAND 6504 requirements baseline, technical scope, system boundaries and architecture baselines.
• Identify and manage interfaces, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, risks and opportunities.
• Provide engineering input to acquisition strategy, conduct trade studies and technical assessments, and support governance, reviews and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably within Defence and complex acquisition projects.
• Security clearance: Minimum NV1 with ability to obtain NV2 (NV2 preferred).
• Willingness to work onsite at Brindabella Business Park five days a week.
