Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

Leidos is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to provide Tier 2 support for a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. The role involves managing a large, hybrid Windows and RHEL environment that spans both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux workstations, both virtual (EVD) and physical.
• Troubleshoot application crashes, performance issues, and user experience problems.
• Provide Tier 2 incident resolution for Windows and Linux applications, including remote desktop support.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with short‑term workarounds and long‑term solutions.
• Respond to escalated service‑desk requests and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Participate in special projects and initial incident triage, response, and notification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years (experience may substitute for degree).
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, investigation within the last five years.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP, and Windows Server (2012, 2016).
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems and ITIL v3 or higher.
