Senior Systems Administrator – Hybrid Role in Sydney

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a fast‑growing AI and digital infrastructure company in Sydney. Reporting to the CTO, you will manage a modern hybrid environment supporting users across Australia and Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux servers in a hybrid infrastructure.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Hybrid Active Directory.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V and Proxmox.
• Handle user lifecycle processes, device provisioning and access management.
• Maintain backup and recovery using Veeam, including regular restore testing.
• Provide senior‑level support and incident management via Jira Service Management.
• Maintain IT asset registers, software licences and vendor relationships.
• Create and update technical documentation, SOPs and operational standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and engineering teams on improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of systems administration experience in a corporate or multi‑site environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Hybrid AD.
• Solid Windows and Linux administration skills.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper‑V or Proxmox virtualization.
• Exposure to backup and disaster recovery solutions, preferably Veeam.
• Background in ITSM and incident management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities.
