Senior Structural Engineer, Buildings Structures

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Building Structures practice in Sydney or Newcastle. You will help shape carbon‑neutral, sustainable building projects and act as a key liaison with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of concrete and steel building structures for diverse, bespoke projects.
• Produce and review design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide construction‑phase support across a wide range of projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee the work of drafters and other team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience on large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary building projects; experience in public buildings, transport or data centres is a plus.
• Proven ability to coach and develop emerging talent.
