Senior Strategy Associate

About the role

Join Qantas Group’s Strategy team to shape the future direction of Australia’s leading airline. You will lead high‑impact strategic projects that influence decisions made by the Board, Exco, CEO and CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute end‑to‑end strategic initiatives and major workstreams.
• Create compelling content and analyses to support strategic recommendations.
• Navigate complex, sensitive topics using business expertise.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and present findings to inform critical decisions.
• Coach and develop junior team members in traditional strategy tools and innovative methodologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years at a top‑tier consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Kearney) or in investment banking, corporate strategy, or a professional services firm.
• Relevant tertiary qualification; MBA preferred.
• Lateral thinker with strong analytical, financial, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a high‑performing, collaborative team environment.
