Senior Staff Specialist – Otolaryngology (ENT Surgery)

About the role

The Senior Staff Specialist will lead ENT services at Rockhampton Hospital, delivering high‑quality inpatient, outpatient and theatre care while extending services across the Central Queensland Health Service (CQHHS) network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based ENT clinical care in hospital and community settings, including outreach and telehealth clinics.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit, service improvement and the after‑hours on‑call roster.
• Supervise, teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate clinicians and contribute to research activities.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with specialist registration in Otolaryngology in Australia (FRACS or comparable RACS assessment).
• Broad clinical experience in ENT, commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication, documentation and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
