Senior Specialist Engineer Systems ADSS

About the role

KBR is executing a Digital Engineering strategy for Defence, seeking an experienced System Modeller to uplift enterprise engineering capability. The role will become a Subject Matter Expert in system modelling, developing frameworks, guides, training, and tool configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support on system modelling, including architectural frameworks, languages, methods and tools.
• Develop artefacts such as modelling guides, work instructions and training material to improve enterprise maturity.
• Deliver demonstrations and training to foster adoption and build skills across the organisation.
• Support integration of system modelling within the system engineering lifecycle and with other engineering tools.
• Engage stakeholders to formulate capability roadmaps and support bid responses related to system modelling and digital engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) meeting Washington Accord criteria.
• Professional Engineer with 5+ years experience in systems engineering across the lifecycle.
• Eligibility for Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to work independently while engaging stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SysML language and modelling tools (Cameo/No Magic preferred).
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as UAF, NAF and DODAF.
• Experience in configuration and change management for system modelling.
• Software engineering and scripting skills (Python, JavaScript) for tool integration and automation.
