Senior Solutions Engineer – Spend/ERP

About the role

Airwallex is looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to own end‑to‑end delivery of complex Spend and corporate card implementations for enterprise and high‑growth customers across APAC. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Merchant Services, Product, Operations, Risk and external partners, ensuring smooth delivery from pre‑sale through go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor on high‑value implementations, shaping integration approaches, system configuration and solution design.
• Partner with activation, onboarding and account management teams to translate customer requirements into scalable architectures, especially where ERP, HRIS and API integrations are core.
• Work with sales on technical discovery, recommend best‑fit integration blueprints and guide customers through complex configuration decisions.
• Create and maintain internal documentation, playbooks and tooling to support integration‑heavy use cases at scale.
• Channel customer pain points and feedback into Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in implementation, onboarding, customer success or project/program management of complex technology or financial services projects.
• 4+ years of client‑facing delivery in a fast‑paced SaaS/fintech environment.
• Proven track record delivering cross‑functional projects with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP, accounting or expense platforms such as Netsuite, SAP, Oracle or Xero.
• Familiarity with API‑based integrations, common web integration concepts and SSO.
• Understanding of HRIS and accounting partner ecosystems.
• Project‑management or agile delivery knowledge (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
