Senior Solution Architect - Enterprise Applications

About the role

This 12‑month contract position is based in Melbourne with a hybrid work model. You will join a major retail group’s ERP transformation programme, shaping enterprise‑grade solutions across finance, supply chain, retail platforms, HR and corporate applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver solutions that follow clean‑core SAP principles across S/4HANA, BTP and MDG.
• Drive API‑first and event‑driven integration patterns and simplify complex multi‑vendor ecosystems.
• Present architecture proposals to the Architecture Review Board and influence senior stakeholders.
• Provide governance for master data, identity, security and integration models.
• Ensure alignment of six workstreams with the target architecture, keeping the programme scalable, compliant and future‑ready.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise solution architecture experience, with strong functional depth in retail, supply chain or finance.
• Proven experience in large‑scale ERP or transformation programmes.
• Ability to challenge vendors, simplify complexity and champion clean‑core outcomes.
• Calm, structured communication style when dealing with senior stakeholders.
