Senior Solution Architect – Enterprise Applications

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade applications across Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, HR and corporate systems for a major retail group undergoing an ERP transformation. The role is a 12‑month contract based in Melbourne with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solutions for Finance, Supply Chain, Retail platforms, HR and corporate applications.
• Apply clean‑core SAP principles across S/4HANA, Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Drive API‑first and event‑driven integration patterns and simplify complex integrations.
• Present solution designs to the Architecture Review Board and influence senior stakeholders.
• Establish governance, structure and clarity within a multi‑vendor ecosystem.
• Ensure alignment of identity, security, data ownership and integration models across all workstreams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise solution architecture experience, preferably in Retail, Supply Chain or Finance.
• Deep functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, BTP, MDG and, ideally, SuccessFactors.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale ERP or transformation programmes.
• Ability to challenge vendors, simplify complexity and champion clean‑core outcomes.
• Calm, structured communication style when interacting with senior leadership.
