Senior Software Engineer – Node.js & AWS (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking two Senior Software Engineers to join a high‑impact team delivering a critical entitlements platform as part of a broader digital transformation program. The role is a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop scalable and secure services within an identity and entitlements domain.
• Work within AWS environments and navigate infrastructure and networking considerations.
• Own code quality through automated unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support reliable deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including product, data, and engineering.
• Participate in data modelling and system design decisions.
• Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and maintainable.

Required profile

• Strong backend development experience using Node.js.
• Solid understanding of API design and development.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of AWS or other cloud‑based environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to write and maintain automated tests.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience working in enterprise environments.
