Senior Software Engineer (Next.js / Full Stack)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Next.js to lead the frontend development of modern web applications while also contributing to backend services and cloud infrastructure. The role is primarily focused on building high‑performance, responsive user interfaces and will involve close collaboration with product owners, designers and other engineers in a hybrid Sydney office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and high‑performance UI components.
• Develop and enhance backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud‑native applications on AWS services.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve application performance and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience delivering production‑grade applications at scale.
