Senior Social Worker - Trauma, Loss and Grief

About the role

A client of Medijobs is looking for a highly experienced Senior Social Worker in Sydney to support and guide clients who have received life-changing news. The client is based in the Parramatta area but the role is work from home, with travel only to visit clients; occasional office visits to connect with the team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support services to clients who have experienced nervous shock.
• Help clients access the services that give them real assistance.
• Deliver ongoing monitoring, implementation support and review of client needs.
• Support clients as they move through the stages of shock, grief and loss.
• Maintain high clinical standards and contribute to service improvement.

Required profile

• At least 5 years as a Social Worker, ideally with a background in trauma, grief and loss and some hospital experience, particularly in discharge planning and support.
• Bachelor of Social Work with AASW membership.
• Driving licence and car.
• A warm, supportive and empathetic character.
