Senior School Mathematics Teacher

About the role

Manning Valley Anglican College in Taree, NSW, is recruiting a permanent Senior School Mathematics Teacher for its secondary school. The teacher is a key member of the Academic Team and delivers high-quality education in line with the school's educational philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons that foster student learning, critical thinking and a love of learning
• Provide pastoral care and guidance supporting students' academic, social and emotional growth
• Uphold strong classroom management to keep the classroom safe, respectful and inclusive
• Work with colleagues, parents and the wider community to improve student outcomes and school culture
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, commitment to professional development and alignment with the college's Christian values

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field (teaching qualification)
• Registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and NESA requirements
• Commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (AITSL)
• Knowledge of NSW syllabus documents and ability to respond to student learning needs
• Right to live and work in Australia; participation in co-curricular activities, camps or school events; NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check

Required skills

• Proven secondary school teaching experience, ideally Years 7-12
• Experience assessing and reporting on student learning
• Curriculum development aligned with the NSW curriculum
• Strong classroom management and use of digital tools to engage students
