Senior SAP BTP Consultant – Extensions (Australia)

About the role

The Senior SAP BTP Consultant – Extensions will design, build and govern cloud‑native extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform. You will work closely with functional teams, architects and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, upgrade‑safe innovations that extend SAP S/4HANA and other SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design side‑by‑side extensions on SAP BTP following Clean Core and SAP Extensibility Guidelines.
• Define extension strategies using services such as CAP, Kyma, SAP Build and ABAP Environment.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Lead development of extensions with CAP (Node.js/Java), ABAP RAP, SAP Build Apps & Process Automation.
• Implement UI extensions using SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5.
• Ensure API‑first, event‑driven and loosely coupled designs.
• Enforce clean core compliance, best practices and security controls.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards and governance processes.
• Mentor junior consultants and act as a technical advisor to customers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3 years on SAP BTP.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BTP Extension Suite and side‑by‑side extensibility.
• Proven experience extending SAP S/4HANA (cloud or private edition).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery and mentor teams.
