Senior Risk Analyst, Operational Risk and Resilience

About the role

APRA is recruiting a Senior Risk Analyst, Operational Risk and Resilience, based in Sydney. You will work on initiatives that support frontline teams and strengthen the resilience of Australia's financial services system, including supervising regulated entities through data analysis and prudential reviews, responding to material events and helping transform how APRA and the industry manage non-financial risk.

Key responsibilities

• Support quality supervision outcomes by analysing data, conducting prudential reviews and engaging with regulated entities on operational risk and resilience
• Respond to material risk events by working with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate responses and communications
• Deliver results in strategic and routine supervision activities that reduce non-financial risk in the Australian financial system
• Produce insights from qualitative and quantitative information on non-financial risk for non-specialist audiences
• Advise internal and external stakeholders and champion continuous improvement in team efficiency

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of non-financial risk assessment, especially operational risk, resilience, business continuity, service provider risk and/or assurance
• Experience leading reviews, including interviews and workshops with senior leaders
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
• Australian citizenship with eligibility for government security clearance to work with APRA
• Consultancy, financial services, risk management and/or regulation experience is highly desirable
