Senior Research Fellow, Acute Care Nursing

About the role

Griffith University and Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) are seeking a Senior Research Fellow in Acute Care Nursing through a joint appointment. The role suits a highly regarded academic and clinician who wants to advance acute care nursing research, education and evidence-based practice through strong clinical-academic collaboration. It is a fixed-term, full-time position for three years, based in Brisbane at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) and Princess Alexandra Hospital, with in-person work across both locations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive innovation, education and research in Acute Care Nursing
• Shape the next generation of Acute Care Nurses
• Build and lead multidisciplinary research teams in Acute Care Nursing
• Supervise research students

Required profile

• Doctoral qualification or equivalent professional experience in nursing or a relevant field
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPR) as a registered nurse, active and maintained during the appointment
• Demonstrated track record of attracting external competitive research funding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to higher education and nursing
• Unrestricted working rights; visa sponsorship is not available

What we offer

• Base salary of $143,418 - $165,374 per annum plus 17% superannuation
• Total FTE package of $167,799 - $193,487 per annum
