Senior Recruitment Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Officer to join a well‑established organisation in the building and construction sector. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will lead end‑to‑end hiring processes, mentor a junior Recruitment Officer, and help shape our talent acquisition strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment across a diverse portfolio of vacancies.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines using proactive sourcing strategies.
• Partner with hiring managers to deliver an exceptional recruitment experience.
• Mentor and support a Recruitment Officer.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments, offers, and onboarding.
• Develop sourcing campaigns across SEEK, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Ensure recruitment activities are compliant, efficient, and candidate‑focused.
• Contribute to process improvement and employer branding initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal recruitment or talent acquisition.
• Strong track record of managing end‑to‑end recruitment cycles.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Collaborative leadership style with mentoring or coaching experience.
• Experience in construction, trades, education, apprenticeships, or high‑volume recruitment is highly regarded.
