Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Quality Engineer at ANZ, you will help design and deliver a modern banking platform that offers simple, secure, and trustworthy experiences for customers. You will work closely with product owners, engineers, and analysts to embed quality early in the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with squads and business services to define and deliver improved banking experiences.
• Identify risks early, fix bugs promptly, and improve quality from the outset.
• Coach engineers on test‑driven development to reduce coding defects.
• Design test approaches, optimise functional and non‑functional test execution, and build automation scripts.
• Maintain hygiene for test case creation, script development, execution, and defect logging.
• Refine acceptance criteria, provide effort estimates, and assess regression test coverage.
• Develop practical test strategies that maximise automation coverage.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in testing and QA automation framework design and implementation.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience coding and maintaining UI automation tools.
• Strong ability to coach and influence engineering teams on quality practices.
