Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead construction projects for GC Built from inception through to handover. Based in Sydney, this full‑time position oversees scope, schedule, budget and delivery, ensuring projects meet safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and define project scope, timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee site activities, conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with building codes and WHS requirements.
• Manage project documentation, monitor progress and quality, and resolve issues proactively.
• Lead procurement, material expediting and logistics optimisation.
• Identify and mitigate risks, and report performance to senior leadership and clients.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in construction project management, preferably on industrial or commercial projects.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian building regulations, WHS requirements and contract administration.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently with strong problem‑solving skills.
