Senior Project Manager / Data Centre Migration Lead

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large‑scale data centre migration for a well‑known organisation in Melbourne. You will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering the migration of critical enterprise infrastructure while ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an end‑to‑end data centre migration strategy and detailed project plan.
• Lead the migration of networks, storage, servers and associated services to a new hosting provider.
• Manage project governance, risk, dependencies and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate internal technical teams and external service providers, overseeing vendor performance and logistics.
• Control project budgets, forecasting, financial tracking and reporting.
• Provide regular status updates and executive‑level reporting.
• Ensure minimal operational disruption throughout the migration lifecycle.

Required profile

• 7+ years of project management experience in large‑scale enterprise IT environments.
• Proven experience leading at least one end‑to‑end data centre migration.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, network architecture and storage platforms.
• Demonstrated success managing complex vendor ecosystems and third‑party delivery partners.
• Experience delivering projects with significant budget accountability.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Based in Melbourne and able to work in a hybrid environment.
