Senior Project Engineer – Electrical (Synchronous Condensers)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to lead the delivery of synchronous condensers and associated high‑voltage plant across our new energy hubs in Australia. The role involves overseeing some of the largest substations ever built in the country, ensuring grid stability as coal generation retires.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical delivery of synchronous condenser and high‑voltage plant packages through to installation.
• Plan and sequence the installation of synchronous condensers, power transformers and HV switchgear across multiple energy hubs.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, mechanical and electrical works to keep the plant on schedule and to specification.
• Manage commissioning activities for large rotating plant in high‑voltage substations.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing and commissioning large rotating plant in high‑voltage substations.
• Senior‑level electrical engineering background.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex packages.
