Senior Pharmacist – Hospital (Hervey Bay)

About the role

Join the Pharmacy Department at Hervey Bay Hospital as a Senior Pharmacist and lead the delivery of high‑quality clinical pharmacy services across the Fraser Coast region. You will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team, mentor colleagues and drive service improvement while enjoying the relaxed coastal lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and clinical pharmacy services to patients at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
• Mentor and support pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and innovative pharmacy practices.
• Participate in the rotational roster, including 24‑hour emergency on‑call, weekend and public‑holiday duties.
• Provide pharmaceutical care at the Maryborough Correctional Facility when required.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a valid practising certificate.
• Willingness to work across multiple sites and on‑call rosters.
• Ability to undergo Corrective Services criminal history checks for work in correctional facilities.
