Senior Medical Director - Surgical Services

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH), the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, is seeking a Senior Medical Director for its Surgical Services. The role provides high-level clinical leadership and drives strategic healthcare delivery across a cross-campus network, acting as the key link between medical teams, Clinical Directors and the Executive, in partnership with the General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medical workforce planning
• Champion clinical governance
• Establish research and education pathways
• Foster a culture of excellence, high engagement and collaborative care
• Raise the organisation's profile across Victoria and NSW

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• Fellowship with the RACP or a relevant specialist college
• 3+ years of clinical management and leadership experience
• Strong commitment to regional practice, teaching and research
