Senior Manager - Internal Audit, Banking and Financial Services

About the role

The Internal Audit Division provides independent, objective reviews of Macquarie's material risks, helping the organisation manage current risks and anticipate future challenges. As a Senior Manager in Banking and Financial Services, you will lead and deliver audits across the division, using data analytics and artificial intelligence to identify risks, uncover insights and improve audit outcomes. You will also help shape innovative audit approaches and give clear recommendations to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audits across the Banking and Financial Services division
• Use data analytics and AI to identify risks and generate risk insights
• Support the development of contemporary audit methodologies
• Work closely with business and risk teams to strengthen controls
• Present findings clearly and influence senior stakeholders

Required profile

• 8+ years' experience in internal or external audit, risk management, risk consulting or operational risk roles
• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks
• Experience in retail banking, business banking and/or wealth management environments
• Proven experience leading audit engagements and developing team members

Required skills

• Data analytics techniques and tools to analyse complex information
• Exposure to artificial intelligence applications (highly regarded)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
