Senior Legal Counsel (Construction)

About the role

Beacon Legal is working with a leading global digital infrastructure business to hire a senior construction and procurement lawyer for its Sydney office. The role is ideal for a lawyer with 8‑14 years of experience from a top‑tier firm or a major infrastructure company, looking to broaden their practice in a high‑growth sector.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, negotiate and review a wide range of construction and procurement contracts, including EPC agreements, master services agreements and purchase orders.
• Provide legal advice on construction, development and operational matters for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Support development, procurement and operations teams with commercial and contractual guidance.
• Manage external counsel when required.
• Contribute to the build‑out and expansion of data‑centre assets across the portfolio.
• Assist strategic growth initiatives in the fast‑moving digital infrastructure sector.

Required profile

• Admission to practice law in Australia.
• 8‑14 years of experience in construction, projects or infrastructure law, gained in a top‑tier law firm and a leading infrastructure business.
• Strong background in construction contracting, procurement and development work.
• Excellent technical, commercial and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach.
• Outstanding communication, drafting and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
